Introduction

The Baitul Aman Jame Masjid Complex, everyone  known as  Guthia Mosque in Barisal, It’s a mosque complex of Bangladesh having a land area of 14 acres. The Baitul Aman Jame Masjid in Guthia is one of the most beautiful  tourist spot in Bangladesh. Specially it’s look so awesome at night. Every day and night many people visit this area

Construction

The construction of  mosque began in December 16, 2003. Supervision by SAS Foundation. The complex is a private persuasive by Sharfuddin Ahmed, a local politician and a businessman. The Baitul Aman Jame Masjid was completed by four years and one month. The complex was designed by a group of Bangladeshi architects. The total cost of the construction was 200 million BDT. The complex was founded on October 20, 2006, with a mosque, three great leakes, an orphanage, a madrasa, an Eidgah and 58 meters high minaret constructed of white marble.

Architecture

In Guthia, the Baitul Aman Jame Masjid complex stands on 14 acres. The mosque consists of 20 domes. The three lakes surrounding the mosque. Gardens are around the lakes and the mosque. The inner wall of the mosque has the Sura-ar-Rahman written on it. The inner part of the mosque has a ability of 1,400 people, and the outer has a capacity of 5,000 people. Thousand of people can pray in the Eidgah to the mosque at a time. The 58 meters high minaret of the mosque is the tallest in the Bangladesh. A graveyard stands on the south-eastern part of the complex.
