Durga Sagor is basically highly nice tourist
spot in the Barisal city. It is approx 11 Km away from main town. Very calm
& quite place. Almost 23 acres of land & water bodies. Its a beautiful
lake,established in 17-18 centuries by some Hindu King, Rani Durgabati, mother
of Raja Joy Narayan, had the pond excavated in 1780 was driven away by some
pirates and selected this place to make his palace. Durga Sagor is a nice places with quite
big lake and pond also. There is a small island in the middle of the lake. In
the winter many kinds of bird come here. It is one of the great place to visit,
not only Bangladesh but also all over the world many visitors come here to see
this. Everyone can enjoy this kind of
natural beauty. After all it is great tourist place in Bangladesh.
